Sr. Safety Manger needed for a Direct Hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Indian Head, MD.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement safety programs and processes to mitigate risks in energetics development and manufacturing.
• Lead safety assessments, audits, and investigations, providing expert recommendations to minimize hazards.
• Coordinate and support cross-functional teams to ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all operations.
• Oversee and manage Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs, including waste management and pollution prevention.
• Apply knowledge of protective construction principles to enhance facility and personnel safety.
• Analyze test data and produce comprehensive reports with a focus on risk identification and mitigation strategies.
• Interface with government agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience in the field of safety.
• Working knowledge of OP-5: Ammunition and Explosives Safety Ashore or equivalent safety documentation.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory frameworks in the energetics and explosives field.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing and supporting safety initiatives across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
Employment Pre-requisites
The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, drug urinalysis, and verified compliance with Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors.
