FACILITY SECURITY OFFICER

McLaughlin Research Corporation, is seeking a skilled and motivated Facility Security Officer (FSO) for its Middletown, RI location. The FSO is responsible for managing the Industrial Security Program with a corporate office in New London, CT. and a cleared offsite facility in Middletown, RI.

Job Summary:

• Manages the industrial security program, which includes document control, visitor control, personnel security, and preparation of DD254s for classified contracting.
• Ensures compliance with the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) as well as any other specific programmatic instruction manuals
• Liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and other US Government security personnel
• Responsible for interpreting policies, disseminating information and ensuring compliance from employees and visitors
• Develop, update and maintain security operating procedures
• Prepare for and participate in annual security reviews

• Manage a small staff to execute the FSO duties
• Acts as the Export Compliance Officer, responsible for commodity export activity

Job Requirements

• U. S. Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret eligibility
• A Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant facility security experience. Additionalyears of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Within 6 months of appointment, successfully complete FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum via Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE)
