Bryn Neil is looking for multiple Systems Engineers to join our world-class engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of OMS based initiatives related to aircraft platforms. You can expect to work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, project engineers and program managers, to ensure the successful integration and deployment of our solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in advancing the capabilities of the platform and enhancing its mission effectiveness. Although the role requires a secret clearance, it does not sit in a SCIF! This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player on a team that contributes broadly across a range of programs and applications.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, execution, and management of projects for large fixed wing platforms.
• Develop and maintain system requirements, architectures, and designs in alignment with customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential technical challenges.
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and status updates to senior management and customers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals and customer engagements.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience + a technical Bachelor's of Science degree
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
• Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
• Proven experience leading complex engineering projects, preferably in the context of mission systems for military aircraft
• Strong understanding of Open Systems Architecture
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies, including requirements management, system modeling, and verification and validation
• Experience with MBSE and SysML
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience with military aircraft
