Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer shall work with the Government lead supporting the SecD Development Portfolio (SDP) consisting of three applications and a team of ten staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic solutions.
• Performing software development, Database development, O&M support, and customer/user engagement.- Provide development and O&M support for production Java applications with an Oracle backend and Tomcat/JBoss application server during core working hours and non-core working hours as needed to meet mission needs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Strong development experience (10+ years) required in the following technologies/areas: Java 8 (J2EE development), React, Spring Framework 5+, Spring Boot 2, JavaScript/AJAX, Hibernate 5+, SQL/RDBMS (Oracle and PostgreSQL), RESTful Web Services, Apache Tomcat, Red Hat JBoss, Linux (RHEL, CentOS), Eclipse IDE, Maven build tool, and Git.
• Strong experience required (10+ years) in Database Development, SQL/RDBMS (Oracle and PostgreSQL).
• Strong experience required (10+) in User Interface (UI) developing skills using Java Script application development.
• 10 years of experience with programming and software development including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting and/or upgrading of software systems.
• 10 years of experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications while maintaining 24/7 availability.
• 5 years of experience with required in AWS (Console, RDS, S3, EBS, AMIs, IaaS)
• 5 years of experience with required AWS Agile and Scrum and Kanban frameworks/methodologies
• 5 years of experience with required in Atlassian tools to include Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and automation.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management
