Our client, a highly respected regional law firm with national reach, is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Employment & Benefits Practice Group in Atlanta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate to take on meaningful responsibilities across a range of employment and education law matters, with a particular focus on civil rights, disability rights, and state/federal education compliance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school, with a strong academic record
Bar admission in Georgia (required)
5–7 years of litigation experience, ideally in employment law or commercial litigation with employment counseling
Background in civil rights, disability rights, and compliance with education laws preferred
Prior involvement in Moot Court or Law Review a plus
Proven ability to manage depositions, hearings, and client meetings independently
Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Strong professional presence and client-service orientation
Key Responsibilities
Represent a wide range of clients, including K-12 school districts, private/charter schools, colleges, and universities, in litigation and compliance matters
Handle cases involving constitutional issues, employment disputes, student claims, and contractual matters
Provide counseling and risk management advice related to employment and education law, including Title IX, IDEA, ADA, and Section 504 compliance
Manage all phases of litigation: pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, trial preparation
Stay informed on legislative and regulatory developments affecting the education and employment landscape
