Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Cook Surge to work aboard USAV Worthy at Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. This position supports the Navy Division. We are looking for someone to be able to sail July 29th to September 5th 2025.

JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: Kwajalein, Marshall Islands
JOB STATUS: Surge Crew - July 29th to September 5th 2025.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED) is required
- Three (3) Years of Experience as a Ship's Cook is required
- Current Required Security Clearance: Required to pass a Federal Background Investigation to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and be granted access to U.S. Army Garrison - Kwajalein Atoll
- US. citizenship is required
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Merchant Mariner's Document issued by the USCG with Food Handler's endorsement preferred. Will consider a U.S. State issued Food Service Worker/Sanitation Certification
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Chief Cook will direct and participate in the preparation and serving of meals,
- Determine the timing and sequence of operations required to meet serving times
- Inspect galley and equipment for cleanliness and oversee proper storage and preparation of food.
- Plan or assist in planning meals
- Take inventory of stores and equipment and
- Order provisions.
