Overview
**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**
Under the supervision of the Audio Visual Technician Lead, this position is primarily responsible for the new installation and maintenance of CCTV systems in support of the ASG-KU mission. #clearance
Responsibilities
Provide new CCTV system design, installation, and programming services to Area Support Group Kuwait (ASG-KU). Provide maintenance for installed CCTV systems belonging to ASG-KU, and or facilities assigned by ASG-KU. Operate, maintain, and install communications systems including outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP). Installing conduit, Panduit, and cables such as CAT 6, HDMI, and VGA at a professional level. Support setup and breakdown of AV events, Test and troubleshoot networking, cabling issues related to CCTV systems as well as terminating coaxial, fiber, and copper cable as needed for analog and IP based CCTV. Installing CCTV systems support infrastructures (brackets, racks). Program analog and IP based CCTV systems. Maintenance and organization of cable and equipment. Performs other duties as required. #LI-TM1

Qualifications
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must maintain Secret Clearance.
- Must be capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.
- Must have customer service training.
- Must be able to obtain a Kuwait driver's license with a heavy vehicle endorsement.
- ITI / High School diploma in IT or electronics; or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years customer service experience.
- 2 or more years of experience in the installation and maintenance of Closed Circuit Television Systems, equipment and software. The ideal candidate will also have 1-3 years of experience in audio / visual system design, installation or programming, with an emphasis on live event production.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in ISP/OSP such as installing, dressing, and terminating cables. Digging necessary trenches using proper tools and equipment. Also, installing conduit and panduit at a professional level.
- Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics
- Ability to plan and organize materials for proposed CCTV installations to include creating Bill of Materials lists.
- Working knowledge of Windows and use of test equipment such as: multi-meters, SPL meters, and communicating devices
- Excellent communications and customer service skills
- Audio and video cable termination
- Familiarity with NEC Standards and electrical codes
- Excellent technical skills with electrical equipment and IT
- Safety awareness in industrial environments is required
- CCTV system certifications preferred
- The ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- A flexible approach for dealing with varied tasks
- An awareness of electrical safety issues
- Proficient at Microsoft Office applications
- SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
- WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is generally conducted in a work center administrative environment. However, duties may involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Normal work week is 48 hours, but may be required to work overtime.
- PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- May be required to pull long lengths of cables in tight spaces, lift, climb, dig, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required. In addition, visual acuity, hearing and speaking requirements are required.
