Action Officer, Combat Arms & Munitions Expert

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret clearance.

The Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC), Programs, Requirements, and Innovations Division (S4W), seeks an experienced Action Officer to support the Air Force Combat Arms Program and manage ground munitions requirements across Security Forces, Combat Arms, and Dog Handling functional areas. This role supports forecasting, allocations, and program management while providing expert-level guidance and reporting to AFSFC/S4W. This is a non-personal, non-mission essential service during crisis operations.

Action Officer, Combat Arms & Munitions Expert Responsibilities Include:
  • Support the Combat Arms Program Manager with munitions and small arms/light weapons (SA/LW) management.
  • Assist the Munitions User Functional Manager with business practices related to munitions management.
  • Analyze, validate, and forecast ground munitions requirements across functional areas.
  • Serve as SME on ground munitions, SA/LW, and non-lethal weapons.
  • Guide and assist unit-level Combat Arms (CA) sections in training and qualifying Air Force personnel.
  • Help draft AF SA/LW training programs, policies, and guidance.
  • Prepare e-SSS and EMRS using AFSFC templates.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Action Officer, Combat Arms & Munitions Expert Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior Security Forces SME experience at MAJCOM or HQ level.
  • Proficient in Combat Arms Program management, Air Force munitions procedures, and SA/LW operations.
  • Operational experience in Security Forces with strong knowledge of DoD, Joint, and AF security policies.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Windows OS, and Adobe applications.
  • U.S. citizenship and valid U.S. passport required.
  • Submit detailed monthly activity reports to AFSFC/S4W and COR.
  • Prepare and distribute written reports on meetings, decisions, and action items.
  • Participate in meetings with AFSFC, IMSC, and MAJCOM representatives.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
