Datum Software Inc. d/b/a Datum Technologies Group team is currently looking to hire an experienced System Administrator who will be responsible for providing support for the EDMS program. The System Administrator will ensure servers, workstations, communications devices, and software are on-line and available to the user. The System Administrator shall provide a wide range of system administration services which may include, but not be limited to, installing, supporting and maintaining servers or other computer systems and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. The systems administrator shall quickly and correctly diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution. The systems administrator shall assist in the prevention of computer hacking and other security problems by implementing preventive measures in compliance with AF or IC enterprise architecture. The systems administrator shall monitor the performance of the system and resolve any issues related to the efficient and effective use of the system in general.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage remote systems backup connections and utilities
• Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues for any software applications including those hosted by cloud or shared service providers.
• Work closely with the network and desktop services provider within the Commission, to ensure superior service and timeframes for Commission mission and staff
• Conduct regular patch management and vulnerability management to ensure systems under their administrator remain operational
• Provide system administration subject matter expertise during the design, procurement, and fielding of hardware/software systems
• Correct any deficiencies related to the independent audit report
• Provide ongoing system and applications maintenance to include but not limited to anti-virus updates, patch and/or software installation, backup/disaster recovery capabilities, and security procedures
• Provide trouble ticket management, coordination, and resolution as a member of a Network Support help desk
• Maintain, upgrade, and test network components and devices with vendors latest software releases
• Provide technical input and assist in the development of new, upgraded or developing systems applications documentation, including standard operating procedure documents
• Provide technical input and assist in the development and maintenance of systems documentation, i.e., operational SOPs, IT procedures, and user training material
• Provide technical input and assist in the development maintenance of system development life cycle plans
• Perform system engineering, conceptual design, detailed design for architecture, and configuration enhancements of existing and new networks
• Develop and create baseline configurations for core applications and devices (office productivity, messaging software, security tools, remote connectivity software, remote management, etc.)
• Ensure all network and application changes are implemented and approved the Commission’s Change Management Team (CMT)
• Develop/provide instructions, system design documentation, purchase and/or installation of network support equipment/software
• Network Planning and Design, including research on various COTS tools, new technologies, and the development of white papers evaluating these technologies supporting the cost benefits, power management and impact on efficiencies
• Provide on-site training at Government and contractor locations.

• Develop, maintain and/or update student and instructor training programs and materials.

• Ensure training stays current with the services offered throughout the life of the TO.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Secret Security Clearance (SSBI)
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in achieving and maintaining AF system ATO certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing Oracle, other database, network, and security support.
• Troubleshoot physical and virtual Servers
• Configure, maintain Windows Server Update Service
• Local Presence to provide support.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Datum Lead or Datum leadership.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The contractor shall provide planning, analysis, troubleshooting, integration, installation, operations, maintenance, training, documentation, and administration services for all types of data networks, including, but not limited to, enterprise systems, Local Area Networks (LAN), client-server, workstations and peripherals, and Internet access. The contractor shall also maintain a centralized technical assistance service that supports problem resolution and distributes general network information.
