Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Administrator to provide leadership and technical support for an enterprise level network at Fort Bragg. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
3+ years experience in a network administration and management in a multi-platform enterprise environment. Bachelor's degree in a related field desired. Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with IAT Level II). Must hold a Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA) or be able to obtain within six months of start date. Experience leading teams in network hardware/software installation and LAN/WAN operations. Proficient in network troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and cybersecurity best practices. Familiar with network security enforcement, compliance, and DoD cybersecurity policies. Able to support users through training and operational guidance on network usage and troubleshooting. Experience with DoD IT environments and network security tools such as ACAS, HBSS, and DISA STIG compliance. Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper network devices in a large-scale enterprise setting. Extensive knowledge of multi-protocol network communications, hardware/software integration, and network management tools. Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties. Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.

- Lead a team of network administrators in installing, configuring, and managing network hardware/software.
- Manage day-to-day network operations, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and VPN configurations.
- Perform network monitoring, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
- Maintain compliance with Army IT and DoD security policies (DISA STIGs, RMF, IAVM patching requirements).
- Enforce DoD and Army cybersecurity policies.
- Ensure proper implementation of security controls, including VLAN segmentation, access control, and encryption.
- Support the implementation of ACAS, HBSS, and endpoint security solutions.
- Conduct network vulnerability scans, assessments, and risk mitigation efforts in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
- Diagnose network connectivity issues, routing inefficiencies, and security vulnerabilities.
- Perform log analysis, bandwidth monitoring, and system diagnostics using network management tools.
- Support network upgrades, migrations, and software/firmware updates.
- Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and security best practices.
- Maintain detailed network configuration records and change logs.
- Assist in compliance audits, inspections, and performance evaluations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to local users and junior network administrators.
- Ensure end-users comply with Army network access and security policies.
