Compensation: Hourly rate on Apex's W2 ranges from $35-$58/hr. Max salary conversion of $116,000. - Based on years of relevant experience, education, LCAT.

Position: Linux/Windows Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:
- Perform as a Linux/Redhat and Windows Systems Administrator for a classified government contract.
- Maintain smooth operation of computer infrastructure in a multi-user environment.
- Analyze customer requirements and determine equipment/software needs.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements.
- Provide backup and recovery services, manage data storage devices, and update virus/malware protection.
- Create and maintain user/computer accounts and modify file permissions/security access lists.
- Test new product releases for compatibility.
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures.
- Make recommendations for hardware, software, and system components.
- Interact with vendors and evaluate their products/services.
- Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines.
- Deploy new STIGs and develop POA&Ms for vulnerabilities.
- Understand vulnerability and risk mitigation in accordance with RMF & DoD JSIG standards.
- Maintain security audit and logging information.
- Prepare security documentation.
- Report project status.
- Work independently and develop solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 2 years of experience, Associates Degree with 4 years of experience, or High School Diploma with 6 years of experience.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II (or higher) certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Experience managing Redhat Enterprise Linux OS and Windows Server OS in a classified environment.
- Familiarity with DoD STIGs and developing POA&Ms for vulnerabilities.
- Current DoD Secret security clearance (minimum), with a closed investigation date within the last 6 years or enrollment in the DoD Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs within 9 months of hire.
