Job Description
BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair is currently constructing a new 25,000 ton capacity ship lift and associated land level drydock facility, to be operational mid-2025. Due to the increased capacity and capabilities, our commercial vessel and yacht program is expanding and have an exciting opening for a proactive and customer- focused Customer Services Specialist.
The Customer Services Specialist will focus on providing exceptional support to our shipyards commercial and yacht customers, while also support and assist our program management team as an office manager.
This role combines concierge-level service for our clients with administrative and operational support for internal teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, does not follow a 9 to 5 mentality, and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Concierge Services:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our customers with regards to all non-project related needs.
• Arrange accommodations, rental cars, and transportation (including occasional driving customers as needed).
• Assist our customers with hospitality needs, which may include arrangement of laundry services, ship stores and provisioning.
• You will be an advocate for, and promote the Northeast Florida corridor, ensuring our customers will experience all the area has to offer, such as beaches, sport, parks and shopping.
• Promote activities to the captains and crews, that include day activities such as sport, shopping or other leisure activities.
• Anticipate and fulfill additional customer requests to ensure a seamless and positive experience.
• Coordinate customer access requests and badging, welcome briefs, and ensure the customers experience with the shipyard is as smooth as it possibly can be.
Program Management Support
• Coordinate travel arrangements for the program management team, including booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation.
• Assist with office management tasks such as scheduling, supply ordering, and maintaining a professional work environment.
• Provide administrative support, including preparing documents, managing correspondence and organize meetings.
• Support invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to customers and internal stakeholders.
General Duties
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Adapt to evolving priorities and handle ad-hoc requests from customers and management as needed.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education
• High School Diploma
Experience
• Extensive experience in the maritime industry, with a solid background and understanding of the super yacht industry.
• Prior experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in concierge or hospitality services.
• Experience in office management or administrative support.
• Experience arranging accommodations, transportation, or similar logistics.
• Proven ability to adapt to dynamic environments and handling of varied tasks.
Skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer- first mindset.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with invoicing and CRM software
• Ability to problem-solve creatively and remain calm under pressure.
Requirements
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends based on customer needs.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Maritime- Specific Training or Certifications
• Professional Development in Customer Service or Logistics

• Direct experience in the superyacht and/ or shipyard industry.

• Experience with international clients or cross-cultural communications.
Preferred Skills

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50268 - $85455
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
