The Security Technician II (Part-Time) supports daily access control operations at the Aberdeen Test Center Visitor Control Center. This position is responsible for processing, screening, and badging all visitors entering the Restricted Area (RA), maintaining visitor records, and ensuring compliance with all security procedures and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Process visit requests via DISS or fax and update the visitor access database.
Verify visitor clearance levels and eligibility for RA access.
Manage and respond to requests in the Visitor Control mailbox.
Issue RA badges and enroll CAC holders for area and building access.
Follow internal procedures to ensure secure and efficient visitor control operations.
Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with SOPs.
Provide professional customer service and respond to inquiries at the Visitor Center.
Qualifications:
4+ years of security experience or an Associate’s Degree in a related field.
Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping accuracy.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Familiar with access control software and technologies (e.g., card readers, biometric systems).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
Active Secret Clearance.
