Job Description:

Semper Valens Solutions is seeking a talented Systems Engineer with a strong IT focus to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding, communicating and tracking development requirements through design, development, testing and integration. This candidate will have sound technical experience with relevant technology in a DoD environment for implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructures, ensuring overall efficiency and reliability of systems. Performs Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) engineering, integration, and testing to C5ISR systems and other initiatives including the development of systematic situation analyses, trade-off analyses, problem and potential problem analyses, decision analyses, risk analyses, tactics analyses, mission analyses, and strategy analyses associated with systems engineering and integration. Analyzes system requirements and document the analysis and findings for the Government in a Systems Support Requirements Document

Duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT systems to support the organization's infrastructure requirements.

  • Utilize a SysML modeling tool-preferably Cameo-to develop comprehensive system models, including standard systems engineering diagrams such as activity, block definition, internal block, package, parametric, requirements, sequence, state machine, and use case diagrams.

  • Conduct detailed analysis and decomposition of system, segment, subsystem, and assembly-level requirements.

  • Lead the development of system requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), and other key systems engineering deliverables.

  • Contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of system design, preliminary design, and readiness reviews in accordance with program milestones.

  • Effectively communicate with engineers, developers, users and other stakeholders to refine requirements and expand understanding of desired outcomes.

  • Support the operation, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of engineering systems, ensuring timely identification, documentation, and resolution of technical issues.

  • Implement security measures to protect the organization's data and systems.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend system enhancements.


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (6 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree)

  • 3-10 years relevant work experience

  • Cameo and digital engineering expertise - review and build requirements models and content

  • Decompose and derive requirements from existing content and extracting from system design

  • Capture the entire IDCS requirements and system capabilities at all levels and connect to the architectural baselines

  • Define requirements fulfillment and operational alignment of MVPs and other transition stages of IDCS

  • Organize the Technical Projects and Documentation (Out-facing publication of authoritative data and internal technical baseline documentation

  • Visit the field to understand the mission to ensure capturing the ops utility and use cases - site survey if needed

  • Scripting experience

  • Configuration Management understanding and mission understanding, and system need understanding of risk.

  • Engineering Degree

  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI


Preferred

  • Strong analytical capabilities, including practical knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE) methodologies to support system optimization and validation.

  • Previous systems engineering experience supporting fielded U.S. military systems, with a strong preference for experience related to U.S. Air Force programs.

  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging digital engineering models to inform and enhance experimental design and decision-making.
