Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Software Integration Engineer to providing RF engineering support to our customers in the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB, FL.

Job Status: Full-Time
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in an applicable discipline.
- 3-10 years experience
- Must have a DoD security clearance at the Secret level. U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Experience with conducting automated tests, analyzing results, and validating system performance against defined specifications, identifying defects and performance bottlenecks.
- Strong proficiency in programming in Python and C++ on Linux systems.
- Competency developing for real time operating system (RTOS) environments.
- Solid understanding of test automation principles and software testing methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers) and RF testing methodologies.
- Experience with conducting automated tests, analyzing results, and validating system performance against defined specifications, identifying defects and performance bottlenecks.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
- Understanding of hardware-software integration and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Familiarity with Hierarchical Data Formats (e.g., HDF5).
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Linux and Python to communicate with test equipment
- Interface with test equipment via Ethernet and Serial communication protocols.
- Design and execute test plans for hardware and software systems.
- Create modular and reuseable test automation frameworks to support scalable testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements.
- Document test procedures and results for traceability and compliance.
