Enterprise Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Shift Lead - (

EPS Corporation is seeking an experienced Enterprise Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Shift Lead to join our team. This position involves overseeing IT operations, managing a shift team, and providing expert guidance on network and system management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations and services management, including experience with Unix/Linux systems, HBSS, firewalls, and other critical infrastructure technologies.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee a team of IT professionals during designated shifts, ensuring efficient and effective IT operations management.
• Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise operations, providing technical expertise and guidance on Unix/Linux systems, firewalls, and HBSS (Host-Based Security Systems).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to network infrastructure, system performance, and security in real-time.
• Manage and ensure seamless operation of IT services, including implementing proactive measures to maintain system uptime and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support day-to-day IT operations and ensure alignment with overall program objectives.
• Provide technical support for incident response, system configuration, and IT infrastructure management.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, process workflows, and shift reports.
• Ensure adherence to security policies, industry standards, and ITIL best practices.
• Lead shift handovers, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication of ongoing operational issues and priorities.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and assist with troubleshooting complex technical challenges.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Security Clearance: Secret Security Clearance.
• Certifications:
  • VCTA (VMware Certified Technical Associate)
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
• Education:
  • B.S. in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering) OR
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in IT operations/services management.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferred, or 5+ years of experience in IT operations and service management.
  • Proven experience in managing Unix/Linux systems, HBSS, and firewalls.
  • Strong knowledge of IT operations, service management, and network security protocols.

Additional Skills:

• Expertise in Unix/Linux systems administration and management.
• Hands-on experience with HBSS (Host-Based Security Systems) and firewall configuration/management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to lead a team, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
• Experience with ITIL-based service management practices, incident management, and change management.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical training as needed.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
