RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Policy expertise, knowledge, and experience to identify creative and effective approaches for aircrew manning level issues from across government, industry, and academia.
- Provide advisory and direct support to the ACTF based on domain, technical and specialized subject matter expertise, to include reviewing findings and making policy recommendations on lines of effort.
- Assist in the development and execution of the Rated Retention Strategy to include developing an action plan to achieve strategy goals and objectives, defining objective criteria for prioritizing retention initiatives, and evaluating initiatives against performance measures.
- Advise and prepare executive reports, policy papers, and memoranda for senior leaders that contain cost-effective, risk acceptable countermeasures.
- Experience developing strategic communications, such as executive reports, policy papers, and memoranda that contain cost-effective, risk acceptable initiatives.
- Experience writing and conducting climate surveys, focus groups, and comprehensive studies of organizational culture.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- A bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or higher; 3+ years of experience or certifications can substitute for a degree.
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Experience communicating with Department of Defense Senior Leaders and Congressional representatives.
- Experience with military aviation. (rated or non-rated USAF experience preferred).
- An understanding of the USAF policy hierarchy, rank structure, aircrew training methodology, and both the strategic and operational mission sets.
