The ESPS Technician Level II (ESPSII) performs material inspection, air handling system examination, and tests within the scope of ANSI N45.2.6 Level II qualification. The ESPSII utilizes and applies basic knowledge and experience across the breadth of responsibilities assigned to this position during the implementation of inspection, examination and testing procedures for the receipt and dedication of installed material.
Additionally, the ESPSII evaluates the adequacy of specific programs used to train and certify inspection and test personnel in accordance with ANSI N45.2.6 and program requirements.

- Planning inspections, examinations and tests
- Determining calibration status of inspection and measuring equipment is current, and that monitoring, measuring, and test equipment is in proper condition for use
- Setting up tests, including preparation and setup of related equipment, as appropriate
- Supervising or maintaining surveillance over the inspections, examinations and tests
- Supervising and training less experienced personnel
- Recording and reporting inspection, examination and testing results
- Evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and test results
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- One year of satisfactory performance as a Level I in the corresponding inspection, examination or test category or class, OR
- High school graduate or have earned a GED equivalent to a high school diploma plus three years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, OR
- Completion of college-level work leading to an associate degree in a related discipline plus one year of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, OR
- Four-year college graduate plus six months of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of non-nuclear and other regulatory quality requirements, specifically pertaining to In-Place Challenge Testing of HEPA filtration and gas adsorption systems
- Knowledge and working experience in air filtration and containment processes, procedures, and practices
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the tools and equipment to be employed
- Ability to plan inspections, evaluations, and tests, including preparation and set-up of related equipment
- Ability to perform inspections, examinations and testing to ANSI/ASME N45.2.6 requirements associated with the receipt and dedication of purchased material in accordance with procedures and/or industry practices
- Ability to report and record inspection, examination and testing results
- Ability to evaluate the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results
- Ability to supervise equivalent level or junior level staff; provide coaching and guidance in day-to-day activities
- Ability to evaluate the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination and testing personnel
- Ability to qualify to ANSI/ASME N45.2.6 requirements lower and same level personnel
- Ability to apply project management principles to ensure systematic, thorough completion of assignments
- Ability to communicate with all stakeholders, delivering key messages concisely, and supported by relevant information
- Good communication skills (written and oral)
Licensing and Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Completed Harvard In-Place Filter Testing Workshop or equivalent
- Completed Camfil ASME N510 In-Place Testing Workshop or equivalent.
