Novacoast Federal is currently seeking a mid to senior level Carbon Black engineer with expertise in either Carbon Black EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) or Carbon Black App Control. This position is a long term contract role working remotely to support Federal agencies.
Responsibilities:
• Deployment and Configuration:
Implementing and configuring Carbon Black solutions, including agents, servers, and cloud-based components.
• Policy Management:
Developing, implementing, and managing security policies within the Carbon Black platform.
• Incident Response:
Investigating and responding to security incidents detected by the Carbon Black platform.
• Collaboration:
Working with security teams, network administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective security posture.
• Knowledge and Skills:
Possessing expertise in areas like endpoint security, threat hunting, incident response, and network security.
Key Areas of Focus:
• Endpoint Protection: Protecting devices from malware, viruses, and other cyber threats.
• Application Control: Managing and controlling which applications can run on endpoints, preventing unauthorized software.
• Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR): Analyzing endpoint data to detect and respond to advanced threats.
• Compliance: Ensuring that security practices meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• 10+ years in Information Security
• 5+ years of experience with Carbon Black EDR, 5+ years of experience with Carbon Black App Control, or some combination of the two.
