NICE TO HAVE
• Nice to have would be Navy experience working on IT ship systems, for instance: CANES, ADNS, CENTRIXS, ISNS/ORT, SCI-Networks, CND and SCIP-IWF.
• Troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, components, cables, cableways, while using Fiber, LAN Data Cable Tester, Megger, multimeter.
• TCP/IP and common protocols such as FTP, SSH SMTP, DNS, SNMP, and NTP
• Routing and switching
• system administration (Microsoft, Linux)
• VMware ESX, vSphere

JOB DUTIES:
• Provide support and expertise for Navy networks and associated systems during installation on board U.S. Navy vessels and in a post-installation environment, including remote support and troubleshooting.
• Assess, inspect, and correct system faults in CANES, ADNS and other C4I systems. Identify and correct anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems
• Preload, configure and test equipment and systems to include servers, workstations, routers, and switches.
• Support Government Acceptance Tests (GAT) and final quality assurance (QA) by providing engineering drawings, answering technical questions and providing direction to production personnel.
• Troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, components, cables, cableways, while using Fiber, LAN Data Cable Tester, Megger and multimeter (power)
• Hands-on experience configuring interfaces, routing protocols, and security parameters on Cisco networking devices. Installation and oversight for post-production modifications (PPMs) in the production lab and onboard the ship.
• Analyzing, correcting, and replacing parts on the various equipment, shipboard racks, and afloat network infrastructure. Utilize Configuration Management and product lifecycle tool (CMPRo) to gather materials for installation, create new parts lists, verify inventory, and work orders status.
• Provide both on board and distance support and expertise for Navy networks and associated systems during installation on board U.S. Navy vessels and in a post-installation environment, including remote support and troubleshooting.
• Executing CICD to build virtual machines and configure different enclaves to include, Unclass, Secret, and Secret Releasable servers.
