DESCRIPTION

The AWS ADC Security Engineering team is seeking a technical project manager (TPM) who can take on a leadership role in our incident response mission supporting our National Security programs. In this role, you will join a growing team of security and systems engineers who are helping to protect the AWS infrastructure that is used by our national security customers.

In this role, you will use a blend of technical knowledge, security fundamentals, and program management to solve security-related challenges that are often not well-defined, working across several organizations to develop our team's programs and strategies. You will use your great communication skills to effectively communicate with and influence customers, engineers, senior leaders, and other stakeholders. Additionally, as a TPM on our team, you will be involved in the decision-making process at various levels to ensure that we are meeting requirements, simplifying business processes, and overall raising the security bar for our customers.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects in IT security (operations, threat intelligence, application security, etc) to meet business and/or organization goals
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Familiarity with the AWS service catalog. Ideally, you have used AWS services in a production capacity or have experimented with our services on your own.
- Experience with log analysis systems, like Splunk or ELK.
- Familiarity with web protocols, common attacks, and Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux logging systems.
- Understanding of network protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTPS, TLS, etc)
- Understanding of high-level cryptography principles (PKI, encryption algorithms, etc)
