Electro - Mechanical Technician

Taunton, MA

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $30.69-$35.69/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the design, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, test equipment, and production devices.
  • Load software and perform functional testing across various system types (electrical, electronic, fiber optic, antenna, etc.).
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain manual and automated test equipment.
  • Construct, modify, and debug test tools and equipment based on technical drawings and instructions.
  • Perform calibration, alignment, repairs, and preventative maintenance on components and devices.
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot complex assemblies and subsystems from schematics, diagrams, and engineering documentation.
  • Support process improvement efforts by conducting experiments and collecting data under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Organize and analyze test data to identify issues and recommend technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the implementation of practical process improvements.
  • May assist in mentoring or guiding other technicians with similar duties.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in electro-mechanical or electronics manufacturing/test environments.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong knowledge of standard fabrication tools and test instruments.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test documentation.
    • Skilled in the fabrication and troubleshooting of complex hardware systems.
    • Proficient in calibration and alignment procedures.
