Blu Omega is seeking a skilled Senior Data Analyst to drive analytical strategy and deliver impactful insights that support our mission objectives. You will play a critical role in the end-to-end data analysis lifecycle, from gathering and refining requirements to developing advanced analytical models and communicating actionable insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. As part of a dynamic, collaborative team, you will contribute to business innovation, process improvement, and workforce modernization through data-driven solutions.
This person must be open to going onsite 5 days a week and hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
What You’ll Do:
Lead analytical efforts to support mission operations, from requirements gathering to model evaluation and results communication
Develop advanced analytical models and data visualizations to measure mission impact and drive strategic decisions
Identify and integrate disparate data sources; process raw data into structured formats for analysis
Leverage tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, and other data science libraries to conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical modeling, and data visualization
Build and maintain scalable AI/ML architectures, ensuring performance, security, documentation, and automation of deployment pipelines
Mentor junior data professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and oversight to ensure quality and alignment with project goals
Present findings to stakeholders through tailored briefings, demos, and meetings, bridging the gap between technical analysis and business value
Contribute to innovation initiatives, continuously improving analytics workflows, tools, and processes
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (substitutions may be considered for equivalent relevant work experience)
5+ years of experience in analytics, data visualization, and data science (e.g., algorithm development, data analysis, NLP, etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge of advanced data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence principles, with experience using tools such as Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI
Proven experience leading the development of advanced analytics products and applying statistical programming to enterprise-level data to support key mission outcomes
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
Extensive experience with project management methodologies and innovation/design thinking frameworks
Strong background in AI/ML algorithm development and deployment
Exceptional analytical skills with a track record of delivering strategic data-driven recommendations
Proficiency in advanced analytics tools and languages including Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
Experience working in Agile development environments and with associated tools and methodologies
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
Experience with data engineering processes, including ETL, data integration, and pipeline development
Understanding of human-centered design principles and UI/UX best practices for data visualization and dashboard development
Proven ability to architect and implement scalable systems with robust access control and data governance
Knowledge of DevOps practices for ML (MLOps) and experience with tools like Databricks MLFlow
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands effectively
Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies and tools
