The Army C-12 AND/OR King Air 200/350/1900 Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) Union CBA Site - Nashville, TN.

Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 aircraft.

(Level of Mechanic is based on years of specific C-12 hands-on A&P mechanic experience).
  • Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
  • These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
  • Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
  • Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
  • Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
  • Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
  • Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
  • Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.


Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required
  • Union CBA Site, The Union CBA has 3 levels of A&P Mechanic experience and pay, based on the number of years' experience on the specific C-12/King Air aircraft (MDS) Mission Design Series aircraft assigned.
  • AM-1 Requires- (FAA) A&P with Two (2) Years of A&P mechanic experience Required, and Two (2) or more years of specific C-12 hands-on aircraft experience strongly preferred.
  • AM-2 Requires- (FAA) A&P with Five (5) years of A&P mechanic experience required AND Five (5) years of specific C-12 hands-on aircraft mechanic experience required.
  • AM-3 Requires- (FAA) A&P with Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience, and a minimum of Thirteen (13) years of specific C-12 aircraft experience required.
  • Mechanic Tools are Required; mechanics must provide their own Tools and Toolbox; Toolbox to be shadowed with each tool etched with mechanic PID.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.
  • *Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within 10 feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to


Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a Secret Clearance, and to obtain facility credentials and authorization (CAC) to work at this facility.

Additional and Physical Qualifications:
  • Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
  • Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the contract performance work statement (PWS).
  • May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.
  • Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
  • Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
  • Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
  • Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
