Primary Function

The Entry-Level General Maintenance Technician supports the Facilities team by performing routine building maintenance and minor repairs. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop practical skills in general maintenance, safety procedures, and facilities support.

Essential Functions
  • Perform routine housekeeping and facility upkeep duties such as cleaning, organizing storage areas, and basic landscaping.
  • Assist with minor repairs including painting, patching walls, replacing light bulbs, and tightening loose fixtures.
  • Support maintenance team with moving equipment, furniture, and supplies across locations.
  • Operate tools and basic equipment under supervision, including power tools and lifts, once trained.
  • Transport tools and materials to job sites using company vehicles.
  • Follow daily work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and assigned vehicles.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down areas for events or meetings.
  • Support emergency maintenance tasks as needed.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • No prior experience necessary; one (1) year of general labor, handyman, or maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and desire to grow in the maintenance field.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and team oriented.
  • Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to take direction with minimal supervision.
