Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services Company, is seeking a Clinic Nurse Manager to join our team at the Customs and Border Protection Advanced Training Center facility in Harpers Ferry WV. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated healthcare team while making a significant impact.
As a Clinic Nurse Manager, you'll play a vital role in providing essential occupational health and emergency response services to Customs and Border Protection employees attending advanced training, as well as CBP employees working on-site. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily clinic operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and leading a team dedicated to delivering quality care in a unique federal setting. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Overall management and coordination of work under the contract's statement of work
- Provide Quarterly CPR and AED training to CBP ATC staff and students as per AHA guidelines
- Act as the Health Unit's primary point of contact
- Speak and act for clinic staff in all matters related to contract services
- Ensure staff complete annual training requirements
- Comply with educational, experience, and licensing requirements for federal medical facilities
- Meet state-specific licensing competency and professional qualifications
- Maintain and oversee the AED program which includes monthly monitoring of Safety Stations throughout the campus
- Supervise clinical staff and maintain quality patient care
- Interpret policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
- Manage staff scheduling for adequate clinic coverage
- Support HR functions, including disciplinary reporting and documentation
- Oversee procurement of medical supplies and equipment
- Manage expired medications according to policy
- Provide input for staff performance evaluations
- Perform monthly QA of medical records
- Maintain a positive patient care atmosphere
- Collaborate with Program Manager to meet contract requirements
- Provide direction and guidance for clinic staff
- Ensure staff practice within their scopes of practice
- Monitor and maintain current professional licensing and training requirements
- Conduct regular staff meetings to review policies and procedures
- Develop and implement staff training programs
- Manage staffing levels to meet patient care needs
- Assist in preparing accurate monthly reports
- Ensure overall customer satisfaction and quality of care
- Manage and coordinate work for all Health Unit point of contact individuals
- Current Compact RN license BSN Preferred
- BLS certification
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Program
- Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) preferred
- National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) preferred
- Active unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of West Virginia
- US Citizenship required by government agency
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record is required
- Ability to successfully pass Department of Homeland Security background investigation. Current clearance or public trust a plus
- Have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university to include at least an RN level of medical education
- Five (5) years specialized field experience (at least at the RN level) in medical health care services
- Three (3) years' experience as either a supervisor or a shift leader in a similar field of work
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level commensurate with the responsibilities of encumbered positions
- Minimum of three years' experience in direct patient care, preferably in an ambulatory or emergency care setting
- Minimum of three years increasingly responsible nursing management, experience preferably in outpatient setting. Urgent care experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong organizational, detail and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the clinical nursing duties (e.g., CPR performance, responding immediately to an emergency, carrying a thirty (30) pound Emergency Go-Bag, etc.) without accommodation as well as free from any communicable disease(s).
