Dispatcher - Security Guard

Amentum is seeking a Dispatcher - Security Guard to work in Andros Island, Bahamas on the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) project. The Dispatcher - Security Guard will perform functions at AUTEC in support of a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and government assets on the AUTEC project. This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and prioritize 911 incoming emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Dispatch appropriate emergency services (Navy Security Forces, fire, or medical) personnel.
• Operate a variety of dispatch and alarm systems to determine cause of alarm and initiate the appropriate response.
• Maintain daily events, emergencies, processes, and/or notifications received according to protocols.
• Prepare and maintain reports.
• Obtain and maintain within 6 months of employment DoD telecommunication I and II certification
• Obtain and maintain within 6 months of employment DoD Hazmat Awareness and Operations certification.
• Obtain and maintain within 6 months of employment certification in Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Ability to work 12hrs shifts, day or night for no less than 5 days.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Dispatch experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Operating radio communication equipment to dispatch services; Receiving incoming telephone or alarm systems calls.
• Pass a physical examination given by a licensed physician or health care professional.
• Adept at working with computer systems and applications with specific knowledge of the Microsoft office application suite.
• Distant Visual acuity in each eye shall be corrected to 20/30 (Snellen to equivalent) in better eye and 20/40 in the other eye with eyeglasses or contact lenses. If uncorrected and distance vision is not at least 20/40 in the better eye, the individual shall carry an extra pair of corrective lenses.
• Near visual acuity, corrected or uncorrected, shall be at least 20/40 in the better.
• Ability to distinguish red, green and yellow colors.
• Individuals shall have no hearing loss in better ear greater than 30 decibels average at 500hz, 1,00hz and 2,000hz with no level greater than 40 decibels at any one frequency.
• Must meet minimum physical standards which include the ability to perform normal or emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing/walking/driving/jumping for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds of material or equipment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and U.S. passport are required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• DoD telecommunication I and II certification.
• DoD Hazmat Awareness and Operations certification.
• Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• 2 or more years of specialized Dispatch experience.
• 1 or more years of Security Guard experience and certification as a Security Guard.
