FedWriters is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage and maintain server infrastructure, cloud services, and administrative systems for the U.S. Access Board. This role will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical IT systems.

**Position is contingent upon successful contract award**

Work Schedule and Location:

Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Eastern) requiring some on-site presence at the Access Board's Washington DC location

Responsibilities

  • Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and domain structures
  • Manage Microsoft 365 platform and cloud infrastructure systems
  • Support Microsoft Azure components and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Perform server operating system maintenance and patch management
  • Manage file/print servers and associated infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Monitor system performance and security logs
  • Ensure system configurations comply with federal security requirements
  • Coordinate configuration changes through the CCB process
  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures and configurations
  • Support Microsoft Teams with Voice Plan systems


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a mid-level to senior-level Systems Administrator
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 platform, cloud infrastructure systems
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Purview Records Management
  • Knowledge of enterprise backup/restore solutions
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, Azure Administrator, etc.)
  • Experience in federal government IT environments
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
  • Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cloud migration strategies
