We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Aviation Military Analyst with deep knowledge in weapons, munitions, and launch systems. This role is vital to supporting Army Aviation modernization through strategic analysis, concept development, and capability assessments. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct formation-based assessments and support simulation activities focused on aviation weapons systems.
- Analyze Army Aviation formations to support capabilities needs assessments and LSCO readiness.
- Evaluate and develop requirements documents including JCIDS, concepts of operation, and emerging capabilities.
- Tailor analytical methodologies to assess aviation weapons, munitions, and launcher effectiveness under operational conditions.
- Review current manned/unmanned platform programs and associated weapons-related documentation.
- Develop and deliver high-quality technical products such as white papers, concept papers, and operational views.
- Contribute to Joint Working Groups and lead capability-based planning activities for aviation fires.
- Rated Army Aviator with 15+ years of aviation flight and combat operations experience.
- Senior or Master Aviator rating.
- Graduate of military or civilian staff courses such as CGSC/ILE or Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Army Aviation weapons and munitions (e.g., Hydra 70 rockets, HELLFIRE missiles).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in capability development or combat development.
- Experience as a team lead in aviation studies, capability development, or operational testing.
- Strong technical writing and editing skills-able to produce graduate-level documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under senior-level guidance.
- Standardization Instructor Pilot (SIP) experience in Army attack or reconnaissance aircraft (2010 and beyond).
- Staff-level planning for attack, reconnaissance, and assault missions including weapons employment strategies.
- Tactical leadership of aviation organizations of 400+ personnel.
- Direct participation in an Army Capability-Based Assessment (CBA) for aviation fires or reconnaissance platforms.
- Primary author or key contributor to a JROC-approved JCIDS document.
- Involvement in Joint Working Groups and interagency coordination efforts for aviation modernization.
- Completion of "How the Army Runs" training or equivalent.
