We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Aviation Military Analyst with deep knowledge in aviation maintenance and facility operations. This role is vital to supporting Army Aviation modernization through strategic analysis, concept development, and capability assessments. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct analysis of aviation organizations to support formation-based assessments, simulations, and annual capabilities needs assessments.
  • Tailor methodologies to identify gaps in aviation tasks, conditions, standards, and performance across various aviation formations.
  • Support the revision and development of JCIDS and other requirements documents to support modernization efforts.
  • Review manned/unmanned aviation platform programs and assess their alignment with current and future capabilities for Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).
  • Provide expert analysis of maintenance and facility requirements to support aviation readiness, training, and operations.
  • Advise on modernizing airfields, integrating FLRAA training, and supporting the Enduring Fleet while maintaining current institutional training requirements.
  • Assist with Facility Investment Plans (FIP), and provide executive-level briefings on Programmed and Funded Aviation Facilities in the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP).
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Aviation Maintenance Technician with 15+ years of experience specializing in the management of personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities for Army aviation operations.
  • Senior or Master-rated Aviator required.
  • Functional knowledge of airframe-specific maintenance, phase flow management, and logistics, including basic knowledge of the Integrated Logistical Analysis Program (ILAP).
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance, supply, and logistics operations for Army rotary, fixed wing, or unmanned aerial systems.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in staffing updates to the Aviation Maintenance Facility Design Standard (CC21110).
  • Expertise in the design and functionality of Aviation Maintenance Hangar Complexes, including support for flight operations, aircrew and maintainer training, and aviation unit deployments.
  • Familiarity with Fixed-Wing TDA Facility Standard (CC21110) and Tactical Unmanned Air Vehicle TOE Facility Standard (CC21115).
  • Extensive experience with Facility Investment Plans (FIP) and the execution of executive-level briefs on Programmed and Funded Aviation Facilities in the FYDP.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, logistics, and facility impacts to support modernizing aviation units and meeting current identified gaps in Aviation Support Equipment.
  • TS/SCI clearance (or attainable within 90 days).
  • Ability to work independently, based on broad senior-level guidance, to produce high-level analysis and documentation, such as white papers, concept papers, and requirements documents.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Experience in coordinating with the Corps of Engineers, HQDA G44, HQDA G8, and IMCOM for facility planning and modernization efforts.
  • Familiarity with aviation modernization programs and their integration into the Army's larger modernization strategy.
  • Experience with executive-level presentations and reports related to aviation facility investments and future defense programs.
  • Prior leadership experience in an aviation maintenance facility or program management environment.
