Production Quality Assurance (PQA) has an opportunity for an Associate Quality Engineering Manager, supporting King of Prussia, PA location.

In this role you will be responsible for the leadership of a Production Quality Assurance team comprised of both salary and hourly employees, overseeing all day-to-day QA functions providing direction and priority during the manufacturing of deliverable products. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
• Leadership duties require frequent internal and external customer interaction and requires Full Spectrum Leadership qualities to manage these activities.

• Responsible for coordinating employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, assigning work and administering recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Lead all aspects of collaboration with Design, Program Engineering, Planning, MRP, and Manufacturing Engineering functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Supervises the internal and external audits of the quality system for deficiency identification and corrective actions.
• Supports area Corrective Action Boards (CABs), defect reduction teams and Strategic projects.
• The position requires strong leadership, communication - both oral and written - and presentation skills.
• Actively engage and monitoring team's workload throughput and performance.
• Actively monitor area quality metrics to ensure performance to Production Operations goals and implementing effective corrective action for continuous improvement.

You will drive process improvements on the production floor to reduce variation and non-conformances in our products. You will verify and lead changes to ensure work instructions are planned in the most efficient and effective manner, and you will work with high value hardware on the floor to ensure that defects are identified and dealt with in the right way every time.

Basic Qualifications:
• Previous formal and/or informal leadership experience managing in Quality Assurance or an Operations-related discipline
• Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated expertise leading and implementing continuous process improvement
• Knowledge of root cause analyses methodologies and demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of effective preventive/corrective action plans
• Experienced in prioritizing and managing team workload to meet program need date
• Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to drive best practices
• Proven experience and certifications as a Quality Engineer
• Proven ability to manage Quality Assurance efforts in accordance with enterprise-level and Program specific requirements
• Understanding of AS9100 Quality System requirements and special process approval
• Experience working in a machine shop
• Experience with advanced measurement equipment such as CMM, portable CMM, and/or 3D scanning technology
• Customer focused behavior and problem solving abilities, developing employees, building constructive partnering relationships with customers, employees, DCMA, and other business units
• Experience in monitoring and maintaining budget allocations

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
