As the LE2 Risk and Opportunity Manager, you will:

• Implement the FBM R&O management plan and processes for the LE2 Program, across all directorates
• Collaborate with the LE2 Program Leadership Team to ensure risks and opportunities are identified and maintained as part of normal business rhythms including: Engineering Review Boards, IMS Baselining and schedule updates, Change Control Boards, and preparation for major reviews such as SRR
• Work with program functional leaders (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Operations, etc.) and customer stakeholders to support risk owners in assessment of risks and opportunities to ensure they are properly defined including comprehensive mitigation/exploitation strategies
• Coordinate LE2 Risk and Opportunity Management Boards (ROMBs) ensuring timely consideration for candidate risks and opportunities as well as updates to existing items; facilitate ROMB execution including meeting coordination and release of board minutes and final adjudications
• Prepare R&O Presentations for the LE2 Risk and Opportunity Management Board (ROMB) and Risk and Opportunity Working Group (ROWG)
• Support the elevation of LE2 Risks and Opportunities to the Portfolio Risk and Opportunity Management Board (PROMBs) for consideration at the Portfolio or Customer levels, coordinating with LE2 Program Manager and stakeholder PMT leaders
• Support Directorate level ROMBs for awareness of LE2 related Risks and Opportunities
• Ensure LE2 Risks and Opportunities are defined in the FBM Risk and Opps Database, and manage/oversee execution of the risks and opps handling strategies once approved
• Provide and analyze R&O metrics and input for LE2 customer Program Management Review (PMRs) and internal Monthly PMRs (MPMRs) and other program meetings
• Support the integration of R&O processes and metrics with Business Operations risk reporting and risk management and support cost and schedule risk

Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either Denver, Colorado , or in Titusville, FL, and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• 5+ Years experience with risk and opportunity management, processes, and tools.
• 5+ Years experience leading projects or teams.
• Demonstrated experience with large scale, complex products and systems. Including familiarity with design milestones, program processes, subcontractor teams, and US DoD or other US government agency customers.
• Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
• Knowledge of fundamental program/project management disciplines, including proposal activities, budget planning and control, and working knowledge of OBS (Organization Breakdown Structure) / IMP (Integrated Master Plan) / IMS (Integrated Master Schedule) as program management tools.
• Demonstrated experience in evaluating key processes and identifying effective process improvements and corrective actions to drive cost and schedule savings or improve performance.
• Demonstrated experience working with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance , to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Masters degree.
• Experience working autonomously and efficiently across organizational and product interfaces in a collaborative, multi-task environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and successful in working in a team environment
• Risk and Opportunity Manager Experience
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with component, subsystem, and system levels
• Experience with integrating and managing Risk and Opportunities and Mitigation or Exploitation in an IMS
• Familiarity with the Navy SSP customer
• Knowledge of the FBM program and processes
• Experience in creating and delivering compelling presentations, using effective PowerPoint communication
• Demonstrated ability to establish close working relationships with key senior leaders and customer executives
• CAM Experience
• Experience with cost estimating to support proposal basis of estimates
• Active Top Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
