Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CAMEO Systems Modeler – SME to join our engineering team in support of a critical Department of Defense (DoD) program. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices and tools, specifically CAMEO Systems Modeler, and will play a key role in developing and maintaining complex system architecture models. This position requires a strategic thinker with a technical mindset, capable of working across multiple stakeholders and technical domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and validate systems engineering models using CAMEO Systems Modeler and SysML.
Define and manage architecture views, model elements, and system behaviors in accordance with DoD MBSE standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure traceability between requirements and design artifacts.
Integrate CAMEO models with complementary tools such as DOORS, MagicDraw, and other digital engineering platforms.
Provide subject matter expertise in systems modeling methodology and best practices.
Develop documentation, model artifacts, and standard operating procedures for model governance.
Support technical reviews, design walkthroughs, and interface definition meetings.
Mentor junior systems modelers and provide peer review of modeling artifacts.
Required Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
5+ years of experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
Proficient in CAMEO Systems Modeler and SysML/UML modeling languages.
Experience working within defense acquisition or aerospace programs.
Strong understanding of architecture frameworks (DoDAF, UAF).
Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
INCOSE Certification or equivalent MBSE credentials.
Experience with integration of MBSE tools and simulation environments.
Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama).
Work Environment & Conditions:
On-site role in Colorado Springs, CO.
Some after-hours or on-call support may be required.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
