Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Project Manager (Assistant Program Manager Acquisition) to support a Product Manager (PdM) from Program Manager Transportation System (PM TS), Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS.)
This position will manage the development and production processes of acquisition programs that are planned and currently being processed, make updates to existing systems to address and obsolescence situations, and produce and deliver new or upgrades systems to meet Army and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) delivery and delivery of products to fielded Army units or units in training. This position is in the office daily at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI. Occasional travel may be required, consisting of about 3 days per trip (up to 15% of the time but is typically much less).

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight into various programs within Heavy Tactical Vehicle (HTV) portfolio.
- Manage Cost Schedule and Performance for Data Integration for Ground systems predictive logistics program as well as Demand Reduction (energy savings and exportable power) initiatives.
- Develop program milestone plans, schedules, and milestone required documents, including the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
- Lead Value Engineering proposals for Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
- Collaborate with engineering and logistics departments to solidify prototype design and provisioning efforts for HTV programs.
- Brief senior level staff on programs to include milestone updates, financials, deliverables, and Cyber requirements through the various life cycle stages.
- Maintain documentation, material, and data for program reviews and Integrated Product Team (IPTs) events. This may include travel to Prime contractor sites to facilitate IPTs.
- Travel to senior staff level briefings to defend and support HTV programs.
- Conduct analyses and audits to include Cost Modeling Analyses, Core Logistics Plans and Analyses, Sustainment BCA Reports, Technical Studies, Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Analysis, Life Cycle Sustainment Analysis, FMS Case Analyses, and Risk and Schedule Reports
- Other duties as assigned to support contract deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree and 5+ years of experience with military operations, acquisitions, or government management, Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with military operations, acquisitions, or government management, or 10+ years of experience with military operations, acquisitions, or government management in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years familiarity with Project Management in military operations, acquisitions, or other government programs, including the following: Monitoring activities to efficiently utilize resources throughout a project life-cycle.. Providing oversight of projects to ensure that they meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives and monitoring actions and/or projects as appropriate to ensure that resources are available to meet project time frames.
- An active SECRET U.S. Government security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in supporting activities (PM, Operations, or similar) at the Detroit Arsenal, including Program Executive Office (PEO) Combat Support and Combat Service Support (CS&CSS), PEO Ground Combat Systems (GCS), Ground Vehicle systems Center (GVSC), or United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM).
- 7+ years conducting Project Management in Government Acquisition (or equivalent) programs, to include the following:
- Monitoring activities to efficiently utilize resources throughout a project life cycle.
- Providing oversight of acquisition projects to ensure that they meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Monitoring actions and/or projects as appropriate to ensure that resources are available to meet project time frames.
