Senior Software Developer

Core4ce seeks a Senior Software Developer to be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining computer systems, software, and networks to meet organizational needs. This role requires expertise in computer design, software development, and network systems, as well as specialized certifications and technical experience in engineering and information assurance. The position supports critical systems and evaluates solutions for C4ISR requirements, virtualization projects, and cybersecurity measures.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the design, development, and testing of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure project success.
• Manage systems integration and ensure compatibility across platforms.
• Support systems/equipment and conduct test and evaluation for C4ISR requirements.
• Implement and oversee information assurance/network protection and virtualization projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and reports to ensure compliance and system reliability.
• Conduct systems analysis and propose improvements based on testing and evaluation results.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align system functionality with organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Education:
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science.
• ABET accredited program
• Active Secret clearance
• Active US passport
• Certifications:
• Preferred Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM) or Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), or
• Vendor/platform-specific certifications, such as:
• Microsoft role-based certifications (e.g., MCAD, MCDBA).
• Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP).
• CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP).
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Administrator).

• Experience:

o Ten 10 years with a Master's degree or 14 years with a Bachelor's degree in computer design, software development, or computer networks.

o Five 5 years of technical experience in Engineering, Systems Analysis, Medical Systems, Information Assurance, Web Development, or Engineering Management, including Systems/Equipment Support and Test and Evaluation for C4ISR requirements.

o Three 3 years of technical experience in information assurance/network protection or virtualization projects.

o Experience may be achieved simultaneously.

• Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in system architecture and design frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems or Linux Operating Systems.

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices.

• Ability to document and communicate technical processes effectively.

• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud computing technologies.
