Omitron is seeking candidates for a Flight Safety Watch Stander crew position opening. The Flight Safety Watch Standers perform and maintain 24x7 flight safety operational readiness by validating orbit data for integrity and consistency prior to use in orbit analysis and operating flight safety systems to calculate and report on-orbit conjunctions between objects and radio frequency deconfliction predictions.
The Flight Safety Watch Stander also supports launch and other operations throughout the mission lifecycle and operates communications networks and displays during special events. Additionally, the candidate will use their analysis and situational awareness to coordinate and integrate findings across multiple crew positions and functional areas to develop and deliver products enabling prioritization of courses of action. This position requires shift work.

Skill Requirements:
Required Experience:
4 years in Space Operations. Demonstrated ability to apply problem solving methodologies to complex, ambiguous problems.
Required Degree:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Operations Research is required plus 4 years' experience preferred. 10 years' experience in space operations in lieu of degree.

Security Clearance and Other Requirements:
A Top Secret/SCI clearance; current polygraph or agreement to take a polygraph.

Skill Requirements:
- Satellite Tool Kit (STK, AGI), Astrodynamic Support Workstation, Matlab.
- Programming with Perl or other scripting languages, familiarity with Fortran, C and C++. Experience with Linux Red Hat, Fedora, or CentOS.
- Must have excellent computer, technical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
- Must have the ability and willingness to multi-task in a dynamic crew environment, and be capable of applying innovative technical analysis to solve client problems
- Must have the ability to prepare and present complex ideas in a clear and coherent form and present them to an audience
- Shift work required
