Provides industrial security support to ensure adherence of security procedures and requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative, Acquisition Security, Personnel Security, Information Protection (IP), Industrial Security, Information Security, Physical Security, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and International Program Security support to the Directorate's Security Division and Weapon System Program Offices during the capabilities planning/pre-acquisition, acquisition, development, production and sustainment phases of various equipment and weapon systems within the framework of the defense acquisition management system.
  • Tasks may include, but are not limited to, participation on IPTs and related activities, analyzing problems, defining alternative solutions, providing recommendations, writing reports, and accomplishing specifically assigned work as defined in individual tasks orders.
  • Assist with performing a wide range of program security management activities, such as information, physical, operational, and personnel security.
  • Provide information protection oversight for all aspects of system protection, technology protection, and program protection planning as pertains to the Directorate's programs.
  • Assist in maintaining secure facilities and respond to alarms of the government facilities in accordance with Air Force requirements and directorate OIs.
  • Utilizes JPAS for visits (incoming and outgoing) including badge check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining document control in accordance with security policies and procedures.
  • Maintains security files and/or files containing security sensitive information.
  • May be responsible for maintenance of DD Form 254's.
  • Responsible for the duplication and/or destruction of security sensitive information.
  • Assists with security portion of new hire orientation by conducting briefs on corporate security policies.
  • Obtains, submits, and safeguards clearance applications for new employees.
  • Monitors security procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical and administrative security systems and procedures.
  • Develops and implements security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel.
  • Maintains liaison with outside agencies and keeps upper management informed of all security activities.
  • Assists with the transition planning and coordination process for security.
  • Develops training materials and may conduct annual security briefings.
  • May provide work leadership to lower level security personnel.
  • Assist with receiving classified materials, as required, in direct support of the Directorate Security Office and Weapon System Program Offices.

Required Experience

One of the following combinations of education/experience:
    • Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS)) and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD -OR-
    • BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD -OR-
    • HS Diploma, and twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have an active Secret security clearance to start.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of DISS; JPAS; ITAR; eFCL; ISFD; SWFT; SIM (or similar security database)
  • Excellent written communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
