About the Role:

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist (SME) to join our team supporting a critical government client. In this pivotal role, you will directly contribute to protecting sensitive information and ensuring the continuous operation of vital cyber defense infrastructure. You will be responsible for the security and operational health of systems crucial to national security, making a significant impact on the client's mission success. This is a high-impact role offering significant growth opportunities within a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

    • Installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration of cyber defense infrastructure components.
    • Assistance in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and key resources.
    • Building, installing, configuring, and testing dedicated cyber defense hardware.
    • Assistance in assessing the impact of implementing and sustaining a dedicated cyber defense infrastructure.
    • Implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) requirements for dedicated cyber defense systems within the enterprise, and documentation and maintenance of records for them.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to cyber defense systems.
    • Collaboration with other team members to ensure effective cybersecurity operations.

Key Responsibilities

    • Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) requirements for dedicated cyber defense systems within the enterprise, and document and maintain records for them.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cyber defense systems.
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective cybersecurity operations.

Required Experience/Clearance

    • 10 years of experience in cybersecurity infrastructure administration.
    • Experience with Linux-based environment administration.
    • Experience testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering infrastructure hardware and software for cybersecurity.
    • Experience developing, creating, modifying, and maintaining computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs for cybersecurity.
    • TS clearance required to start with SCI eligibility.

Desired Experience

    • Experience integrating third-party components, introducing new custom capabilities, modifying existing code, recommending process improvements, and automating operations and maintenance tasks.
    • Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms, and Python.
    • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred).
    • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent certification.
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate.
