SRG is seeking a Logistician/Configuration Manager, you will oversee and enforce configuration management processes for systems, software, and network devices in compliance with DoD and Navy standards. You will lead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), manage system changes, ensure version control, collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the system lifecycle. Your role ensures configuration integrity, supports change management initiatives, and provides compliance reporting and audits.
On-site only, no telework.
Lead and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) or similar governance bodies to review, approve, and document configuration changes.
Implement and enforce configuration management processes for computer-based systems, software, network devices, and documentation in compliance with DoD and Navy standards.
Maintain comprehensive oversight of system configurations, including security baselines, software patching, and documentation control.
Support change management initiatives by ensuring all changes are properly evaluated, coordinated, and communicated to stakeholders.
Ensure proper version control and traceability of changes to all configuration items (CIs).
Collaborate with system engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and program managers to maintain accurate and updated system configurations throughout the system lifecycle.
Track configuration status and provide reports, audits, and updates as required for compliance and mission assurance.
Education Requirement:
High School diploma, vocational school diploma, or GED certificate is required.
Experience Requirement:
Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional experience in configuration management.
Demonstrated Expertise In:
Chairing a Configuration Control Board (CCB) or an equivalent decision-making body.
Managing configurations for:
Computer-based systems
Network devices
Software applications
Security documentation
System security patches
Providing comprehensive change management and product configuration guidance in support of DoD or Navy programs.
Preferred:
2 years relevant experience with an MS or 3 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree is acceptable.
