The Work
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer SME to join our Network and Enterprise Services (NES) team. As a key member of our team, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of the C2BMC Enterprise infrastructure's cyber security posture. You will leverage your expertise to design, develop, and deploy solutions utilizing automation tools, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and management of the C2BMC Enterprise infrastructure's cyber security posture
- Design, develop, and deploy solutions utilizing automation tools to ensure the highest level of security and compliance
- Collaborate with agile teams, stakeholders, and customers to track cyber compliance and generate reports
- Develop and implement department-level security procedures and standards
- Advise and help plan security design with department Chief Engineer and Architect
- Write, brief, and document POAM/Risk acceptance documents
- Develop and train other engineers
- Collaborate with Cyber department leadership and requirements team to ensure cross-department security design compliance
- Review releases for cyber compliance and create standards for the team to develop and maintain the highest standard of excellence for cyber security

- This position is based at a Lockheed Martin facility in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires flexibility to travel to alternate work locations as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- IAT Level II (8570) Compliant Certification (such as Security+CE, CASP+CE, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP, etc.)
- Experience with networking theory and technologies (OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of security design, development, and testing methodologies
- Experience with coding languages, automation tools, and software-defined networking technologies (such as Python, Ansible, Java, VMware NSX, SDWAN, Juniper JUNOS)
Desired Skills:
- IAT Level III (8570) Compliant certification (such as CISSP, CISM, etc.)
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Expertise in applying standard DOD security practices, including STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
- Familiarity with industry standard security guidance (NIST, IEEE, etc.)
- Knowledge of containers, binary, and artifact management, and RHEL
- Experience working in a DoD environment, with prior C2BMC experience preferred
- Ability to develop and implement department-level security procedures and standards
- Experience with generating reports, tracking metrics, and creating KPIs
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
