The Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems Supplier Quality Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer who will have the opportunity to join a team of highly competent professionals involved in ensuring procured hardware/software & service products meet design, manufacturing & sustainment requirements, externally/internally across multiple lines of business. The Procurement Engineer is the primary QA POC interface with suppliers and cross functional counterparts on performing F-35 T&S support effort or RMS Cross Plant programs.
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team, responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams to facilitate the design, production, test, and qualification of aerospace and defense products. The successful candidate will analyze technical data, investigate and recommend suppliers, facilitate technical trade-offs, and lead teams in solving complex problems related to producibility, quality, and affordability. Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge leading cross-functional teams, including suppliers and internal staff, to solve complex problems related to quality, inspection, cost, mistake-proofing, test, reliability, and affordability
• Collaborating with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, Supply Base, and Industry experts to ensure successful product development, production, and sustainment
• Have experience in Designs/Drawings, Technologies, Processes, Complexity Levels and Key Characteristics of procured product to verify requirements and resolve issues
• PR/PO Management in P2P/COS to include part coding of Quality data & other supplier quality requirement flowdowns as well as ensuring suppliers meet any QA certification requirements
• QA Authority for quality section within Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) as well as working with major subcontractors to assure product conformance to technical requirements
• Monitor quality control activities and systems at supplier facilities through surveillance, audits, incremental inspects, test, technical reviews and maintain feedback loops
• Review & Approve all Suppliers' required verification documentation (i.e. First Article Inspections Reports (FAIR), testing procedures, testing results, COCs)
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience in Supplier Quality
• Travel up to 25%
• Secret Clearance required
• Lean Six Sigma Certified
• RCCA experience
• Supports in major external and internal milestone events (TRR, SFAT, PRR, etc.)
• Participate in applicable forums to facilitate disposition of supplier non-conformances and support of supplier failure investigations through RCCA and issue SCARs as required
• Engage and brief various level of Leadership (externally/internally) & other key stakeholders on various aspects of supplier quality performance
• Perform preventative engagement surveillances & auditing of external sources for compliance and assessments to validate key process capabilities
• Identify recommended continual improvement initiatives to strengthen quality systems, processes, and performance for at-risk Suppliers
• Coordinate and perform RCCAs with impacted stakeholders to drive actions for preventing nonconforming procured product
• Support creation, approval, and execution of Supplier Qualification, Functional, Acceptance Testing procedures
• Engage as QA Authority for Assessing Supplier Risk (RBAT, COMBAT) opportunities and risk mitigations
• Implement monitoring and control of all Supplier Quality Performance metrics on assigned program by conducting rhythmic supplier performance analysis and monitor trends
• Maintain Supplier Audit Program to ensure Compliance with Contractual, Regulatory and Quality Management System Requirements
