Description:As an engineer supporting the Valley Forge AEGIS team you will work onsite to help solve radar solutions supporting the Navy warfighter. AEGIS integrates a broad range of sensors and weapons to provide simultaneous integrated air and missile defense and the radar system is at its heart for threat detection and signal processing of that data. What We're Doing
Our most advanced radar systems and models are designed and maintained by a team of engineers spanning multiple locations. We are looking for highly talented individuals, like yourself, with a passion for RADAR and Electronic Warfare Technology. We provide surface, air and undersea solutions, including radar and surveillance systems, undersea combat systems, and surface combat systems and sensors.
As part of the AEGIS System, the radar solid state component is a software-defined, solid-state, digital radar that utilizes technology from the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) program to detect, track, and engage a wide range of threats, including ballistic missiles and advanced air threats.
The Work
Here in Valley Forge PA we provide engineering software and systems support to the Integrated Warfare System and Solutions (IWSS) AEGIS team located in Moorestown NJ. Our team located directly across from the King of Prussia mall collaborates with other AEGIS elements like Mission Planner and Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Solid State Radar(SSR) programs. As a co-located AEGIS team we support each other while serving on various Agile Scrum teams. Occasional travel to the NJ site may be needed to collaborate with the broader team only when needed.

You have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience, or a Masters degree with over 3 years of experience , or equivalent experience/combined education. You currently hold a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• Proficiency in MATLAB.
• Experience with Linux operating system
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: systems engineering, system analysis, requirements development, verification and validation, trade studies, modeling and simulation, or integration and test.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.
Desired Skills:
• Strong mathematics background in linear algebra, statistical analysis and signal processing.
• Understanding of RF/Radar concepts including pulse width, Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), minimum range, beamwidths, etc.
• Understanding of antenna concepts such as channelization, monopulse, antenna architectures, etc.
• Understanding of IFF modes, waveforms, processing techniques, identifying information.
• Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
• Platform level integration and testing.
• Ability to travel occasionally or if needed.
• Performing trade studies, requirements analysis, development, derivation, allocation, and documentation.
• Engineering design/development, software development processes, and Systems/Software modeling.
• Design tools and environments for Radar/IFF systems and/or subsystems for performance analysis/modeling.
• Strong interpersonal skills with comfort working on geographically diverse teams.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Model Based System Design, Test Automation, and Agile development experience.
