Sr. Procurement Specialist II (5849)

As Sr. Procurement Specialist II, you'll be responsible for leading sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This role supports organizational goals through compliance oversight, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

What you'll do:

• You will develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet organizational goals and budget targets.
• You will lead contract negotiations and manage vendor agreements to ensure favorable terms and compliance.
• You will evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements to drive quality and cost savings.
• You will collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• You will prepare and analyze RFPs, RFQs, and bid proposals to support strategic purchasing decisions.
• You will maintain procurement records, ensure compliance with policies, and support audit readiness.
• You will identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to procurement policy development.

What you'll need to succeed:

• You have an active Secret security clearance
• You have a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• You have a minimum of 7 years of procurement experience.
• You have a deep knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices across public and private sectors.
• You have demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships, and vendor performance.
• You have proficiency in procurement and ERP systems.
• You have strong analytical skills to evaluate bids, pricing, and cost-saving opportunities.
• You have excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Additional Compensation: This role may also be eligible for bonuses and/or additional incentives based on individual and company performance.
