Koniag Data Solutions (KDS) is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure for our federal government clients. As a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, we combine technical excellence with our Alaska Native Corporation values to deliver reliable and secure systems operations. This position requires an active Secret clearance.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Install, configure, and maintain server systems
- Manage Windows and Linux operating systems
- Administer Active Directory and Group Policy
- Implement security controls
- Monitor system performance and availability
- Perform system backups and recovery procedures
- Manage user accounts and access permissions
- Configure and maintain virtualization platforms
- Support cloud infrastructure services
- Troubleshoot complex system issues
- Implement system patches and updates
- Maintain system documentation
- Coordinate with security teams on compliance
- Provide after-hours support as needed
- Manage system automation tools
Requirements:
- 7+ years of technical support experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience with enterprise systems
- Knowledge of security requirements
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration
- Experience with Linux system administration
- Proficiency in Active Directory management
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Understanding of network protocols
- Experience with backup and recovery systems
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of security best practices
- Experience with system monitoring tools
- Strong scripting abilities
- Excellence in technical documentation
- Knowledge of change management processes
- Understanding of storage technologies
- Experience with automation tools
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Technical certifications (MCSE, RHCE, VCP)
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of containerization
- Experience with classified systems
- Understanding of DevOps practices
- Knowledge of federal security requirements
- Experience with configuration management
- Familiarity with PKI infrastructure
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks
- Experience with high-availability systems
- Background in disaster recovery
- Previous military or government service
- Experience with system hardening
- Knowledge of compliance requirements
- Understanding of IT service management
- Experience with enterprise applications
- Familiarity with incident response
