Summary of Position
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for the analysis and improvement of processes for machine tools, jigs, fixtures and automated equipment used in aerospace industries.
Essential Functions
Analyze processes for assembly line applications, static/dynamic tools and machines.
Create throughput analysis spreadsheets based off existing process data.
Modify facility floor layouts using CAD software.
Identify changes to improve employee, facility and system performance.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers as well as tooling and equipment designers.
Provide input on tooling and equipment designs and requirements.
Complete analyses within established budgets and schedules.
Present analyses to internal and external customers.
Self-starter capable of working remote at customer locations.
Required Skills, Education & Experience
BS Industrial Engineering or similar field; equivalent relevant experience also acceptable.
5+ years relevant experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing practices: fabrication, machining, and assembly.
Broad knowledge of materials and processing, both metallic and composite.
Must possess a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
This position must meet Export Control Compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22.C.F.R. is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Perform simple 2D and 3D CAD modifications.
Experience managing data in a PLM system.
Clear written and oral communication of ideas, designs, and status.
Drive to succeed with each challenge presented.
Ability to work individually or in a fast-paced team environment.
Detail oriented, with excellent organizational skills.
