Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a SETA Principal Life Cycle Logistics Lead to support an Army Project Office at Fort Belvoir, VA. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award, expected in late May 2025. The position is expected to be 100% onsite. Candidates may be required to complete pre-hire assessments evaluating cognitive, technical, and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level logistics support across the system acquisition lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain program-level logistics documentation, including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), fielding plans, supportability strategies, and transition-to-sustainment artifacts
  • Lead development and implementation of sustainment strategies to meet system readiness, availability, and affordability goals
  • Coordinate product support planning activities with stakeholders across acquisition, engineering, and sustainment communities
  • Identify and manage logistics requirements, support resources, and timelines for system fielding and sustainment
  • Analyze Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements including supply support, maintenance planning, training, technical data, support equipment, and facilities
  • Support product support package development, ILS assessments, and sustainment modeling
  • Collaborate with Army Materiel Command, DLA, and other sustainment stakeholders to ensure integrated supportability planning
  • Track and resolve logistics risks and issues impacting fielding, operational availability, or cost performance
  • Participate in logistics working groups, configuration management boards, and integrated product teams

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills
  • In-depth understanding of DoD and Army logistics, sustainment, and ILS principles
  • Demonstrated skill in logistics planning and execution across acquisition phases
  • Familiarity with key documents such as LCSPs, fielding plans, and supportability analyses
  • Experience working with Army sustainment agencies, depots, and contractors
  • Strong ability to assess IPS elements and lead logistics assessments
  • Proficiency in standard Army logistics and business systems such as LMP, GCSS-Army, and AESIP
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000 series, AR 700-127, and Army Regulation 700-142

Experience
  • The minimum years of relevant logistics experience supporting DoD programs required: 20
  • Logistics career specialization aligned to the duty assignment (e.g., Life Cycle Logistics, Product Support, Sustainment)

Education
  • The minimum level of education required is: Bachelor's Degree

Clearance
  • Active SECRET security clearance (verifiable in DISS)

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110000 to $140000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
