Synertex is seeking an Intrusion Detection System (IDS)/Access Control System (ACS) Technician (aka IAT) to work with our Government Customer providing security support to a facility on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The types of services are but, not limited to:
- Installation : Installing various intrusion detection sensors, control panels, wiring, and other components according to building plans and security requirements.
- Configuration: Programming control panels to set detection zones, activation schedules, and alert settings.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and testing the system to ensure proper functionality, including checking battery backups, sensor integrity, and communication lines.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues with malfunctioning sensors, wiring problems, or system errors.
- System upgrades: Updating firmware on control panels and sensors to incorporate new features and security patches.
- Customer support: Responding to customer inquiries about the system, providing training on usage, and addressing any concerns.
- TS with SCI Eligibility.
- Will be a LENEL authorized Value-Added Reseller (VAR), Manufacturer Certified on all Lenel software and Control Panels with a minimum of 5 years' experience with expertise in the maintenance, repair, quality assurance, management, and operation of Electronic Security Systems which fall under the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Technical knowledge: Understanding of electrical wiring, electronic circuits, and security system protocols.
- Physical ability: Ability to climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, and lift heavy equipment to install sensors and wiring.
- Problem-solving skills: Identifying the root cause of system malfunctions and implementing solutions.
- Attention to detail: Ensuring accurate installation and configuration of sensors and wiring to avoid false alarms.
- Customer service skills : Effectively communicating with clients to understand their security needs and provide clear explanations.
