Position Summary:
Ataero is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support the Program Management Activities for a government customer, focusing on Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, including EW PoDs, Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) components, and EW Advanced Capability initiatives. The technician will assist in the engineering oversight, technical documentation, and compliance activities in support of Science & Technology (S&T), Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E), and modification efforts for Navy airborne EW systems.

Position Summary:
Ataero is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support the Program Management Activities for a government customer, focusing on Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, including EW PoDs, Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) components, and EW Advanced Capability initiatives. The technician will assist in the engineering oversight, technical documentation, and compliance activities in support of Science & Technology (S&T), Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E), and modification efforts for Navy airborne EW systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the AEA Systems Division's Growler Advanced Capability efforts, including systems integration of NGJ and EW systems across subcontractor and production facilities.
- Conduct facilities assessments, evaluating production capacity, repair processes, and production procedures for compliance with FAR Clause 52.245-1 and FAR Part 45 for Government property.
- Monitor and support the accurate financial reporting of production material and end unit deliverables, coordinating with financial and logistics personnel as required.
- Provide innovative technical solutions to improve first-pass yield, supply chain delivery, and test processes/procedures at subcontractor sites.
- Participate in the development and delivery of trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and sustainability and production improvement strategies.
- Assist with engineering documentation including Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and system design packages.
- Contribute to technical reviews, configuration control boards, and working groups in support of EW system lifecycle support.
- Maintain accurate tracking and accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Property (GFP).
- Requires travel to various subcontractor locations in support of NGJ and EW pod assessments and validation activities.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DoD or defense contractor environment, supporting EW or airborne systems integration.
- Familiarity with GFE/GFP management and government property handling per FAR 52.245-1 and Part 45.
- Working knowledge of radio communications, RF systems, test and evaluation protocols, and production support processes.
- Demonstrated experience with technical documentation development, system integration, and review processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with military and NAVAIR programs.
- Exposure to Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) or ALQ-99 EW systems and their associated test and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle and engineering development processes.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant military/industry experience.
