M9 Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located in San Diego, CA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated pipelines for data center/cloud environments and support automated build, test and release deployments.
• Design, write, and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the network.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Cloud Native development.
• Build automated DevOps pipelines using tools like GitLab.
• Develop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that constitute an application on a container-based environment such as Docker.
• Participate in the development of advanced CI/CD processes to support deployments.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions and build environments using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Work extensively to deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters in an on-premises cloud environment.
• Automate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency + repeatability.
• Actively participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, support a blameless post-mortems culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor of science degree in engineering/technical discipline.
• 6 - 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience using DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, GitOps, Bitbucket, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Fortify, Sonarqube, Chef/Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration/management tools.
• Understanding of AWS cloud services.
• Experience working with appropriate scripting languages and operating systems software (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with Agile development and issue tracking systems such as JIRA.
• Experience with UNIX and/or Linux.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of science degree in computer science.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Security+ 8570 certification.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• AWS or similar cloud provider experience.
• Solid understanding of Message Service NATS, Kafka, Redis.
• Strong Linux and Networking background.
• Software development experience with C++/Java.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $180,000 USD
