Job Responsibilities

Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a Technical Control Facility Operator to support our customer in Miroslawiec, Poland. This position supports a US Military customer and may have a 24 x 7 support requirement which could include an Extended Workweek (EWW) or Shift Work during other than normal duty hours.
  • Shall have detailed knowledge the Air Force Standard Desktop Configuration
  • Shall have detailed knowledge of Air Force Active Directory
  • Shall have detailed knowledge Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA)
  • Shall have detailed knowledge of Information Assurance Officer (IAO) Express
  • Shall have working knowledge of CISCO Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
  • Shall have network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks
  • Shall have a working knowledge of the Seven Layer OSI Reference Model with detailed technical knowledge of layers 1-3
  • Shall have detailed knowledge of the operation and maintenance of CISCO 4000 Series Integrated Service Routers
  • Shall have detailed knowledge of the operation and maintenance of CISCO 1000 and 9000 Series Aggregation Service Routers
  • Shall have detailed knowledge of the operation and maintenance of CISCO 3000 and 9000 Family of Catalyst Switches
  • Shall have detailed knowledge of CISCO Identity Services Engine and CISCO SolarWinds
  • Shall have detailed knowledge of Global Positioning System (GPS) network timing schemes and devices.
  • Shall have detailed knowledge of signal flow, wiring schematics, network timing, and signal conversion.
  • Shall have knowledge of the operation and maintenance of IP networks.
  • Shall have knowledge and familiarity with the different networks in use within the European theater ie. NIPR, SIPR, VoIP, Black Core, BICES, ACBN, and wireless LAN
  • Shall have knowledge and familiarity of encryption devices (KIV-7 family, KG devices, TACLANE devices, and similar equipment)
  • Shall have knowledge and familiarity of cryptographic fills, how to load an encryption device, how to verify the fill segments, and how to operate a SKL.
  • Shall have technical documentation skills.
  • Perform laptop imaging utilizing the Air Force Standard Desktop Image 19.2009 (or current)
  • Perform CAC resets using the CAC Pin Reset (CPR) machine
  • Create and manage trouble tickets in REMEDY
  • Perform basic IP troubleshooting
  • Build user accounts on the domain (NIPR/SIPR user and admin)
  • Add and remove computers, map printers to a Microsoft domain and troubleshoot any issues
  • Assign user accounts to appropriate groups and permissions
  • Build exchange mailboxes, and troubleshoot issues with email accounts
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and restore technical service and end-user software and hardware problems, including repairing user desktops, laptops, printers, multi-function devices ("All in One"), desk phones, and wireless devices (cell phones, access points)
  • Plan, install, operate, and maintain CISCO based equipment in the TCF for the communications network
  • Address capabilities and limitations of TCF equipment, troubleshooting procedures, security requirements, and technology to install, operate, maintain, and restore all links and circuits that terminate in or traverse the TCF.
  • Perform advanced corrective maintenance on Technical Control Facilities to the chassis mounted component level.
  • Assess, evaluate, and re-engineer complex circuit/link restoration accommodating critical communication architectural requirements With Main Operating (Support) Base TCF personnel
  • Coordinate activation/deactivation and fault isolation of communications links and circuits connecting with Main Operating (Support) Base TCF personnel

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a military environment related to tactical network systems
  • At least a Secret clearance is required
  • Required certifications: Security+, and Network+

Education

  • A minimum High School Diploma is required
